  • Descrizione: Iason Fillipou has just been discharged from the army and returns to Rhodes by ship. He meets Kostas Makris, who is a professional gigolo at the bar of the ship. A little later, he meets Martha Foka, a rich married woman from Rhodes on the deck of the ship and is charmed by her. They meet again on the island and have an affair. Martha introduces him to her husband, who is very cynical and makes life hard for her. Kostas, who had initially been hired by Martha’s husband to keep a close watch on her, becomes her lover, plans with Martha to get Fokas out of the way and incriminate Iason for the murder of Fokas as well as for the theft of the family jewelry. Fokas, who suspects the plot, kills his wife and injures Kostas, who finds refuge on a rented yacht. Iason is arrested for Martha’s murder, but he has a solid alibi, since, at the time of the murder, he was with Elpida Avgeri, a rich young woman whom he intends to marry. When Kostas is arrested and confesses, the district attorney lets Iason free, and he flies into Elpida’s arms.
